Every bank will obtain a credit check on you before you borrow. If you have an adverse credit history they may not lend to you.
If you think you may have any adverse credit history here is what you should do:
- Obtain a copy of your credit history report. We can help you do this.
- Don’t apply for a loan until you have received your credit history report and discuss any adverse items with us. If you don’t do this, you might apply to a bank who won’t accept people with credit history problems
- Applying for the same loan from multiple lenders will be recorded on your credit report and this is likely to count against you if you keep applying unsuccessfully for the same loan
- There lenders who will lend to people who have an adverse credit history but these loans can be more expensive than typical bank loans so you’ll need us to check the details of the lenders conditions and rates thoroughly.
